Teddy at 40

An early happy birthday to Teddy Sheringham who turns 40 tomorrow. It is hard to think of another player who has the same universal appeal as Teddy Sheringham or who would be a better role model for our young side.

Niall Clarke, head of techinal support at West Ham, told uefa.com, "Teddy's biggest asset is the psychological aspect, his desire. His enthusiasm is like an 18-year-old. He just loves football. Every single day he trains with 100 per cent intensity with the rest of the players. At the end of each session he goes to the gym and has his own little routine. His nutrition is very good, he always eats properly. It's mainly in pre-season that we do a lot of our physical work and he was fantastic."
