Walker to Leave West Ham

The Daily Mirror are reporting today that West Ham back-up keeper James Walker is set to be signed by Sheffield United. Walker has slipped to third place keeper behind Shaka and Roy Carrol and only played three times in the premeirship last year.

Seems an odd move, in fairness to Jimmy he was out injured for most of last season and when he was fit took the number 2 spot when Carrol's back went west. Shaka is getting on a bit and although he had a good season he won't last for ever. I think we need a good 3rd choice keeper. Maybe one of the youths is ready to step up?
