Is Ashton Going to Stoke?
Most of the press are reporting that Stoke are on the verge of signing Dean Ashton. The papers are quite happy to quote Stoke boss, Tony Pulis, saying he is happy to take a punt on a player like Dean Ashton that has been plagued with injuries. Many of the papers however are omitting the part where Pulis reveals that West Ham have not actually agreed to sell Ashton, yet.
"Dean is one of a number of players we have spoken to. Whether we can do the deal, whether we can't, we'll have to wait and see."
