Eggy Paid Too Much for West Ham

David Sullivan, who as part of a consortium fronted by Tony Cottee tried to buy West Ham United, has claimed that the Icelandic Consortium paid too much for West Ham,

"West Ham has been purchased at an enormous price and I think way beyond what it is worth."

With West Ham looking to be heading for the Championship it is hard to argue with Sullivan who reasons that the huge increases in money available to Premiership clubs next year will soon be swallowed up by players wages and agents´ fees.
