West Ham Want Mancini and Joe Cole

Sky's most tenuous story of the day claims that West Ham have responded to the injury of Kieron Dyer by mounting a bid to sign Roma's Mancini.

The Sky website says that Liverpool and Lyon have already had bids turned down and Roma don't want to sell but West Ham have such financial clout that they think they can sign the Brazilian.

And whilst we are on stories that will never happen, The Evening Spamhead say that following a row between Joe Cole and Mourinho West Ham have made an attempt to sign the player on loan.

Perhaps there is a 1000/1 outside chance of this happening if Chelski land Ronaldinho this week.

Expect the transfer speculation to get wilder and wilder between now and 5pm tomorrow when the window closes.
