The Star think that West Ham should change the hammers on their badge to walking sticks. Since Curbishley became manager there has been a curse on West Ham's new signings, with injuries to Matthew Upson, Lucas Neil, Scott Parker, Julien Faubert, Kieron Dyer and Freddie Ljungberg.
The News of the World and The Sunday Mirror both have the 'exclusive' that West Ham offered Adriano £140,000 a week to move to West Ham. Actually, the NoW say Adriano refused to move to West Ham because he wanted £140,000 and West Ham only offered £125,000, whilst The Mirror say West Ham offered £18 million to Milan and £140,000 to Adriano but the Brazilian turned us down.
