West Ham Confirm Bellamy Op

West Ham have today confirmed that Craig Bellamy travelled to Germany where he underwent an operation on his hernia. Bellamy went to Germany to consult the doctor who has been treating Michael Owen. According to West Ham Head physio, George Cooper,

"She advised he had the operation and predicted he would be back within 14 days. So he had the surgery, it went very well and he walked out of the centre the same day and we flew back later that night.

He can start running three days after the operation, building up to sprinting after five days then gradually building up to training and playing within a fortnight."
