West Ham vs Sunderland

This game could well be a tale of who has the biggest squad. Sunderland will be missing defender Paul McShane (suspended), striker Andy Cole (calf), midfielder Carlos Edwards (hamstring), defender Russell Anderson (ankle) and captain Dean Whitehead. West Ham are missing Ashton, Zamora, Collins and Parker (to name but a few). Camara, Ferdinand and Ljungberg all face late fitness tests.

Both sides will be desperate to get something out of this game to get their season back on track and turn around recent poor form. Injuries to key strikers on both sides could lead to a low scoring game. West Ham have not scored in four hours of Premier League football and appear reliant on Bellamy returning to the form he was in before his injury.

Sunderland will probably see a point as a successful return and will no doubt come to defend. Will West Ham have enough guile to break them down? Probably.
