Despite rumours linking West Ham left-back George McCarney with Milan and Rangers the Northern Ireland international says he is happy at West Ham,
"I am really happy with how things are going for me personally but it is disappointing that the results haven't been as good as what they were earlier in the season."

Alan Curbishley has revealed that he and the players will only receive bonuses for the season if they finish in the top ten,
"Everything this year, especially bonuses, is geared to finishing in the top 10," he said. "There is nothing for not being in the top 10.
"So for people to believe we have switched off is wrong. We need to be in that top 10 to take anything from the season."

I think it s good that the players have a financial incentive personally to try to finish strongly. One wud hope that the club wud be focusing not only on maintaining a top half position/position above spurs,but also on getting a minimum of 50 points. 50 points shud be achievable ,even if taking into account that one of the fixtures is at Old Trafford. To win at least 2 of the 3 remaining home fixtures shud be a realistic target ,and at least something from the Reebok. Getting to 50 points ,especially given the extremely well -documented injury list, wud represent a decent achievement ,and a significant approvement over last term,regardless of what we all individually think about the potential future of the manager.
Although I continue to have doubts myself about the manager as the right person to move the club forward, I admit that he wud deserve credit for a finish on 50 points or above ,under the circumstances
I metioned 50 points ,merely because I think that pyschologically ,it wud make all connected to the club feel a bit better about the way the season has gone. 50 points at least demonstrates being nowhere near relegation, and it shows that the possibility of Europe at least existed ,even if we cudn t quite get there. And it also suggests the potential to move above and beyond mid-table ,whereas a finish on 45-46 points leaves the impression of being stuck in midtable for the forseeable future.
In theory ,3 or 4 points shudn t make a difference ,but in reality ,I think a total of 50 points or more wud help th eteam approach next season with more confidence.
