West Ham Injury Update

The official West Ham website has provided a brief injury update under the Manager on Monday story.

James Tomkins, Calum Davenport and Jonathan Spector are all back in training. Only Danny Gabbidon and Dean Ashton are on the long-term injury list now. Mark Noble could be in contention in a fortnight and Kieron Dyer will hope to get another week of full training under his belt this week.

American website Bleacher Report are saying that Spector has signed a new three year contract with West Ham. Clearly Spector is not one of the players that the club is planning to offload in January.

Update: Spector has actually signed a one year extension to his contract which will keep him at West Ham until 2011 (or at least until January).

Keir, I hope this report is wrong...I've never thought much of Specter. Good news about Tomkins, Noble and Dyer. We could do with Ashton now: we seem to have forgotten what the old onion bag looks like...

Cheers Paul

We don't need him - even if we are not in financial trouble!
