Di Michele Faces Italian Trial

The Sun claim that David Di Michele was named in a preliminary hearing today in Italy as having been part of an illegal betting syndicate while at Udinese between 1998 and 2005.

Several other players are also involved, with all those named accused of placing bets on Serie A matches as well as other games from different leagues.

The first hearing is set to take place on October 2.
