West Ham in the Sundays

The Daily Mirror say that West Ham's future is hanging in the balance. The club have until June before the Icelandic government takes control of the club. West Ham currently have two potential buyers but the best offer on the table is £80 million, way short of Gudmundsson valuation of the club.


The News of the World say that West Ham are keen on signing Italian defender Daniele Portanova. Dario Canovi, the agent of the 30-year-old Siena centre-back, says,

"West Ham are extremely interested."

The News iof the World also say West Ham are amongst a number of clubs keen to sign Croatian winger Danijel Pranjic from Heerenveen. He has scored a remarkable 20 goals in 30 games playing as a left wing back.
