Sturridge Linked with West Ham

Not much West Ham transfer news around today, except for The Daily Mail, who say that the club are making a bid to tempt Daniel Sturridge into joining them instead of Chelsea.

Stuart Pearce has praised James Tomkins for his England Under-21 debut performance,

"Tomkins, for his first cap, was outstanding I thought," said Pearce. "Right across the group, not just the West Ham players, there were players without a great deal of experience - the likes of Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs and Everton's Jack Rodwell, the next generation if you like - who did very well for us."
