West Ham Told to Sell by Owners

The Daily Mail claim that Straumur, who own West Ham through CB Holdings, have told West Ham they have to raise £10 million before the transfer window closes. They then claim this means that West Ham will sell Upson.

Three days ago the same newspaper claimed that Luca Toni's agent believes the player will join West Ham.

The Daily Fail. Complete and utter fourth rate bottom of the barrel journalism. We ve got money to pay Luca Toni's wages on one extreme ,yet at the other extreme we have to raise 10 quid by Aug 31.

Perhaps the truth is somewhere in between - to buy a striker ,we must raise cash first, which MAY mean we have to sell Upson. So it isn't a case of raising 10 quid - it s a case of having to sell before we buy-PERHAPS. Bit too complicated for the feeble minded plebs at the Fail.

Oh,and if WHU "needs to raise 10 million" ,then would the club really be waiting til the last minute to do so,when it may be forced to do so at a worse price, Daily Fail? Doubt it. The club would have unloaded Ashton,Davenport,Faubert and Quashie even at rock bottom prices already, if that was the case. Ashton alone, even in his unfit state, should fetch 5 quid at least

daily failures
