Arsenal in for Cole
The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal are ready to make a £9 miilion bid for West Ham striker Carlton Cole. The paper claims, however, that a bid will only be made if Nicklas Bentnder fails a Friday fitness test.
The speculation comes from this quote from Arsene Wenger,
'There is no way we can carry on with only one striker. Bendtner is being treated now and will come back on Friday for tests. If he is out For another two months, we will need to buy someone, absolutely.'
Hmm, that doesn't really sound like he wants to buy another injured striker.

£9m for England international and Liverpool want £12m for Babel. If it wasn't just silly paper talk it would be worrying.
All figues quoted by papers, in particulat the fountain of truth that is the Daily Mail, are plucked from the air. £9m for C Cole is laughable considering Stoke want £20m for a non international Centre back
