West Ham Bid War Hots Up

The Daily Mirror seem to be backing down a little on their claim that West Ham's owners have agreed to sell 50% of the club to David Gold and David Sullivan.

In a report in today's paper they still say "the club’s Icelandic owners (have) agreed to sell 50 per cent of their stake." However they now also report that West Ham insist that "no deal has yet been done to sell the club."

The Mirror also report that "West Ham say two rival investors - Malaysia-based Tony Fernandes and Intermarket - are still in the frame."

So that's as clear as mud then.

West Ham Till I Die picked up that Tony Fernandes Twittered this message during half-time at yesterday's game,

"1 0. West ham beating arsenal. Great half from the young hammers. Soon they will have an owner who will make a difference and care ."

Let's hope so!
