Reo-Coker Leaving West Ham?

The Guardian today are speculating that Reo-Coker will be left out of the West Ham squad today as a precursor to a move away from the club. Unfortunately for the young player the paper claim that Arsenal and Man Utd are no longer interested in signing him.

The Guardian also say that West Ham have had a £500,000 offer for Mark Viduka turned down but Boro will probably sell for £1.5 million "as Viduka has informed them he wishes to move to Upton Park or sign a pre-contract agreement with an Italian club."

Additionally The Guardian suggest West Ham have a £10m offer on the table for Shaun Wright-Phillips and may also be on the verge of signing Alexei Smertin. The Independent claim that SWP was telling friends yesterday that his future was still at Stamford Bridge and that if West Ham's bid fails they will instead make a move for Watford's Ashley Young.

The Independent also claim that West Ham will not sell until they have brought players in and will look to make most of the departures from the club in the summer. Although they do suggest that Mascherano is likely to join Liverpool this month.

The Independent suggest that West Ham are looking to bring in five players. They mention a number of players who West Ham have been interested in but won't be joining the club for various reasons, they are Nigel Quashie, John Hartson, Lucas Neill and Sylvain Distin.
