Reserves Don't Lose, Neill Ponders Blackburn

West Ham reserves managed a 0-0 draw against Chelski. James Collins got a run out but was substituted in the second half.

Lucas Neill on the West Ham official site reveals his thoughts about returning to Blackburn two months after leaving them for West Ham. Alongside the usual 'it will be strange' and 'the fans were great' comments, Neill, one of (maybe the only) Curbishley good January signings, also suggests West ham can advance from the Sp#rs game,

"We can take a lot of heart out of that game, even though we didn't take any points. It was one of the better games I've been involved in emotionally and in terms of atmosphere.

You couldn't have asked anymore from anyone, apart from maybe just a tiny bit of composure at the end. If only we could have fast-forwarded the last five minutes so we could get the points we so desperately needed and I thought we deserved.

Certainly if we play the way we did and believe in ourselves the way we did then we'll be looking good for the last 9 games. But it's important that we get back up to that level."
