West Ham to Discipline Ferdinand

Anton Ferdinand broke club rules by visiting America for his 22nd birthday. Apparently he flew out for a party two weeks ago, when the players had four days off but had been told not to go abroad.

West Ham manager Alan Curbishley says,

"I've spoken to him briefly and he will be disciplined. I asked him if it was true, he said it was and apologised. But that is the least of our worries at the moment."

You have to feel Ferdinand's days are numbered if Curbishly remains at West Ham. Ferdinand was at fault today for needlessly giving away a free-kick on the edge of the box from which Berbatov scored. He gave a silly penalty away a couple of games ago and is rumoured to have had an argument with the manager after the game against the Addicks.

I can't seem him being in Curbishley's good books at the moment. especially as Curbishley has been moaning he has had to impose more club fines since arriving at West Ham than during his whole time at Charlton.
