Dean Ashton enhanced his reputation again by scoring West Ham's stoppage time winner. His volley from right of the goal into the bottom left of the net saved West Ham's blushes and the prospect of extra time.

Plymouth did not look out of place at Upton Park and created nearly as many chances on goal as West Ham.

Unfortunately just as Ashton's star continues to rise Carlton Cole's role as anti-hero with some of the fans seems to also grow with every game.
