West Ham Backing Arsenal Takeover

The Daily Mail say that Bobby Zamora has recovered from his injury and will be fit to play on Sunday.

The Daily Mirror say that West Ham will buy Barnes from Derby for £5 million and then loan him back to the club for the rest of the season.

According to The Guardian West Ham could be financing the takeover of Arsenal. Alisher Usmanov's decision to increase his stake in Arsenal to 21% is being backed by the billionaire Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson, the West Ham owner whose bank Landsbanki acted as broker for Usmanov's investment vehicle, Red & White Holdings.

It is believed that Gudmundsson wants to turn The Emeirates into a car park and introduce a park and ride scheme for West Ham fans travelling from the north.
