West Ham's Steady Season

Alan Curbishley has reiterated his desire for a steady season. With West Ham's excellent start to the season the West Ham manager seems determined that the fans' expectations don't become unrealistic.

"We need a steady, consolidating season. That might not sound like the sexiest thing, especially with the expectations in football now, but that's what we need.

When I arrived I said my first aim was to keep us up and the second to build something in the long term. That's where I'm at."
