West Ham in the Papers

The Daily Mirror ask Hayden Mullins about Reo-Coker's move from West Ham. Mullins seems to suggest Nigel Reo-Coker was caught up in the Baby Bentley culture and didn't concentrate on his football whilst at West Ham,

"It is very easy to get distracted as a young player. You are high profile. There is a lot of distractions in London. Nightclubs and other bits and pieces. Nigel probably felt that he needed to get out, which was probably the right choice.

He needs to concentrate on his career. The best thing was to get away from those kind of people."

The Mirror say that West Ham defender John Panstil has told his agent to find him a new club after failing to secure a place in the side under Alan Curbishley. The Mirror also speak to Ashley Young who thinks he was right to snub West Ham for Villa.

The Times says Martin O'Neill could give Marlon Harewood his first league start for Villa. They are of course right, O'Neill could start with the ex-West Ham striker, then again he might not.
