West Ham News

The Mirror picked up on the fact that Kolo Toure threw a West Ham away after the game. He swapped shirts with West Ham's Henri Camara and then promptly threw it to the Arsenal fans in the away section.

The Mirror also convert Curbishley's understated comment that the linesman got it wrong in disallowing West Ham's goal into a 'rage'.

The Daily Mail say that the West Ham manager has pleaded that Ashton be given more time before being selected for England but Ashton is ready to answer England's call,

"Whether it's Aston Villa next Saturday for West Ham or England against Estonia in a couple of weeks time, I am ready."

The Telegraph say England need to stop pinning their hopes on Michael Owen and Ashton is England's obvious choice for the future.

The Guardian praise West Ham's keeper Rob Green who prevented Arsenal from devastating West Ham.
