Ashton England's Saviour, No he Isn't.

The Mirror says that Sir Trevor Brooking believes West Ham striker Dean Ashton is the answer to England's problems up front ahead of their Euro 2008 qualifiers.

The Daily Star disagrees and says Brooking has warned England not to expect Ashton to be their Euro 2008 saviour.

Of course you could make up your own mind. Here are Brooking's comments on Ashton,

"He's only got back in the side in the last three games. He's been out for over year, which is a long time.

We all know he has ability, he's just got to work on that match fitness, do it consistently and get that sharpness back, along with his spring and confidence. After a long time out it will take a bit of time."
