West Ham Friendlies

Thurrock announced yesterday that they had lined up a pre-season friendly with West Ham. The game will take place on Saturday, 26th July (kick off 3pm).

Last week Peterborough United announced a friendly with West Ham on Tuesday, 29th July.

West Ham will also be appearing in a match against an MLS AllStars XI in Toronto on Thursday, 24th July. This suggests that the Thurrock and Peterborough games may feature mainly reserve and youth team players from West Ham.

The Times has a good report on Craig Bellamy's plan to set up a football academy in war torn Sierra Leone. Of course, Bellamy isn't the only West Ham player interested in Africa and the official site has news about how you can join Robert Green on his climb of Kilimanjaro.
