Daily Mirror Off With the Fairies

The Daily Mirror in an 'exclusive' today claims that West Ham's owners have turned down three offers for the club. The paper claims that West Ham have turned down the offers because they don't match Gudmundsson's £120 million valuation of the club.

For some reason the paper fails to even hint at one name or consortium who may have made a bid. Like a small child who has been caught in an obvious lie the paper quickly changes the subject and moves on to discuss today's game.

On which subject, Zola says,

"We are going to play our own match, the way we normally play. We're not a team who can got there and sit back and wait and wait, we have different qualities."

"The defensive side is going to be vital because when you play a team who are better than you. You have to look after more the defensive aspect of the game, which is what we have been focusing on this week."

I like your blog, and visit it every day. I spotted a minor flaw though. You say The Daily Mirror claim BG has valued the club at £150 mill, although the article actually says £120.

Cheers - I've changed it to £120 million.
