West Ham vs Aston Villa - The Predictions

Despite playing in a reserve match this week and scoring two goals the BBC say that Diego Tristan is not yet fit enough to start for West Ham. Villa will welcome back Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Gareth Barry, James Milner and Martin Laursen, who did not feature against Hamburg in midweek.

West Ham are on the joint longest current winless home Premier League sequence with Blackburn; having gained one point out of a possible 15 at home. West Ham have failed to score in three of the last four league games at The Boleyn.

Lawro says that Aston Villa look more dangerous away from home than at Villa Park. With James Milner and Ashley Young out wide, and Gabriel Agbonlahor playing through the middle, they break with pace and power and possess a great threat. Last week Lawro said that he can't see where West Ham's goals will come from. As is the way of the Lawro this week he has completely changed his mind and reckons West Ham will score two.
Lawro predicts a 2-2 draw (something we have done in 11 games).

Sky say West Ham have not beaten any of the top eight sides this season. Aston Villa however are on a five-game unbeaten run.

Setanta say West Ham blocked 17 shots last week against Chelsea, more than any team in any other game this season. Setanta say that Villa have not won at Upton Park since 1996 but Martin O'Neill's side are riding high at fourth in the table.
