West Ham Reject Upson Bid

The media are reporting that West Ham have rejected an £11 million offer from Aston Villa for Matthew Upson. Sky are reporting that Villa will come back with a better offer.

West Ham have now fended off offers for Parker, Bellamy and Upson. It is becoming clear that West Ham are trying to hold onto their better players and will only let them go for a huge amount.

Or maybe not - Martin O'Neill has ridiculed the suggestions that he made an approach for Upson,

"There is not an ounce of truth in it whatsoever," O’Neill told the Villa official website.
