West Ham Trial Appiah

A couple of football websites are claiming that West Ham are considering a move for Stephen Appiah, who, they say, has already taken part in a trial at Upton Park.

The sites claim a second trial is due to take place before West Ham make any decision on whether to offer him a deal. Appiah has been a free agent since leaving Fenerbahce last year, and has been on trial with Sp@rs and Russian champions Rubin Kazan, while Arsenal are also said to have considered offering the player a deal.

Appiah's prolonged status as a free agent has been variously attributed to his fitness and his wage demands.
