Good News for West Ham & Collison

According to The Independent Jack Collison could be back in action in two weeks, after being stretchered off on Wednesday with what looked like an horrendous injury. The Independent say that Collison had a scan yesterday which shows he only suffered a slight strain.

Which means Collison may miss just one match, the West Bromwich Albion game on Monday 16 March.

Fleet Street this morning seems confused about the future of referee Stuart Attwell, whose performance on Wednesday caused a lot of controversy. According to The Mail he "will not be in charge of another Premier League game for the foreseeable future and could even have officiated in the top flight for the last time this season."

However The Guardian say that the Premier League has no plans to remove Stuart Attwell from its elite group of referees. Although he is the fourth official for Rochdale's visit to Bury in League Two on Saturday he was assigned this fixture long before Wednesday's game.
