Wigan vs West Ham - The Predictions

Behrami is out so presumably that will mean a straight return for Mark Noble. Savio has been doing really well coming off the bench for West Ham but Zola seems keen to protect the young player, so Noble will presumably get the nod ahead of his younger team mate. Ben Watson returns for Wigan again after a ban. Winger Antonio Valencia (hamstring) and striker Mido (groin) both also look set to return to the squad

Can anyone remember the last time Lawro predicted a West Ham win? It must be quite embarrassing for him to have to keep writing about how good West Ham have been doing and then predicting us to lose. This week he says that West Ham "look a very well coached side and play really good football." Which is presumably why he then predicts us to lose.

Lawro predicts a 2-0 West Ham loss

Sky point out that Steve Bruce's side have not won in seven league games, however at home they are hard to beat, suffering only three defeats in the league at the JJB Stadium all season.

Sky predict a 1-0 West Ham loss

Setanta also point to Wigan's impressive home form. They say they haven't lost in eight games at home and have won five of those. Despite West Ham winning on their last trip to the JJB they can't see West Ham doing it this season.

Would love to see a league table based on Lawro's predictions. I would imagine we would have roughly a couple of points!!

To Anon, I think someone has been doing something like that on 606 message boards. At the very least I know there was one put together in November or December, but I don't know if it's been updated.

What amazes me most about these picks is that they didn't even think we could draw this match. All season we've had better form on the road, but thankfully that was not brought into the equation because I had to think about it for 1.6 seconds (which 1 second longer than Lawro "thinks" about his West Ham picks).

Here is an up to date league table based on that clown's "predictions". The BBC would be better off with a monkey and a few dice.
