Transfer Rumours

Nigel Quashie has been released by West Ham and has joined Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

Josh Payne has joined League One club Wycombe Wanderers on loan. The deal sees Payne join Wycombe initially for one month. Andrea Zola has joined Blue Square Premier club Grays Athletic on loan for a month.

ESPN are reporting that West Ham's move for Benni McCarthy is being held up by a work permit complication. They say that the South Africa striker will need to re-apply for a work permit if he joins West Ham and that might delay the move beyond the end of the present transfer window.

The Daily Mirror say West Ham are after Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Mirror claim West Ham and Birmingham are both interested in signing the AC Milan striker.

Huntelaar wouldn't touch us with a rotten pair of clogs. He would rather take a pay cut and go back to Ajax then come to us.
