Parker to Sign New West Ham Contract

The Sun has some interesting West Ham gossip today. The paper says that Scott Parker will next week sign a new contract with West Ham. They say the deal will be a one year extension to his current contract (which still has three years to run) and his wages will rise to around £70,000 a week.

The Sun also claim that West Ham have 'cemented' a one year loan for Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo. The deal includes an option to buy for £2.5m.

The paper say that this summer West Ham have added over £10m to their £60m a year wage bill - despite being £90m in the red. The Sun think that Kovac, Diamanti and Spector will probably be offloaded to try and offset some of that increase in wages.
