West Ham linked to Obinna

Not much West Ham news in the papers today. There are lots of gloomy match reports, many suggesting West Ham are already in a relegation battle. A number of papers do report that Barrera thinks we are too good to go down (where have I heard that before?)

The Mirror say that Inter Milan striker Victor Obinna is due at West Ham today for talks. Last season the Nigerian international Obinna was loaned to Spanish club Malaga.

In other news Guillermo Franco looks set to sign for Wigan today.

To end on a positive note - I thought Pablo Barrera's first full game début on Saturday was the best début by a West Ham player in a long time. He definitely looks like he is going to give us more going forward this season. Despite losing on Saturday we definitely created a lot more goal scoring chances than in most matches last season.
