Parker Close to Signing Contract
Most of the newspapers are today concentrating their West Ham coverage on the club's bid to move into the Olympic Stadium (the formal bidding process started yesterday).
The Telegraph however do report on Craig Bellamy's move to Cardiff City. The Telegraph say that West Ham offered to pay two-thirds of Craig Bellamy’s £90,000-a-week wages if he joined the club on loan.
The paper say that Bellamy was keen on a move to Cardiff and that Man City were determined that Bellamy would not play in the Premier League even if they end up losing money in the process.
The Telegraph also claim that West Ham have denied any interest in Roque Santa Cruz. Finally the paper reports that Scott Parker is 'extremely close' to signing a new contract.
