Keane Demands £1 million in Bonuses

Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier has confirmed Steve Sidwell is close to completing a move to West Ham. Houllier said, "Steve is having a medical. He's at the end of his contract (next summer) and it's not a secret he lives in London."

The Telegraph claim that a planned move by West Ham for Robbie Keane has collapsed after Keane asked for a £1 million bonus should he help the club avoid relegation.

The Telegraph also say that West Ham made an offer on Tuesday to take Wayne Bridge on loan until the end of the season. Man City are demanding West Ham pay a greater percentage of Bridge's wages than the Irons want. The Telegraph say that West Ham have not given up hope though that a deal can be done.

The Guardian say that West Ham will sell Matthew Upson and Kieron Dyer in January if any club offers a reasonable transfer fee.

Agree Bridge wud be gud addition. Also think Sidwell will help- shud Noble be delayed in coming back,he may be handy to have.

I don't think it makes sense to let Upson go as we are unlikely to find anyone better in this window. As for Keane,if it is true that he is demanding this bonus ,then we don't need him. If he was so "keen" for first team football,he would not be banging on about a bonus. I don't think this guy has the attitude required for the long hard slog ahead til May. Better off with someone younger, who is not solely in it just for the money.

Keane really ought to take a good hard look in the mirror and ask why he has failed at Liverpool and Spurs, and why nobody has been too "keen" to pick him up

Kean would be a great addition he would bag at least 15 goals imo if he came he's a proven goalscorer FACT we should pull out all the stops to get him

Happy Christmas Everyone!

What constitutes Keane 'helping us stay up'? Does that mean if we stay up he gets 1mill regardless of how he does? If he scored 20 goals give him a mill! lol
