Someone Considering Manager's Job

David Sullivan, speaking at last night's Supporters' Advisory Board meeting, said that he had offered the West Ham manager's job to someone and that he expects an answer today.

Gold said that despite offering a £50,000 per week contract and a £1 million bonus for achieving promotion he expects the offer to be turned down. He also revealed that one manager had already turned down an offer from the board to take charge at West Ham.

I wish the two David's would stop talking to the press about who they have offered the job to and just get on with finding a manager that can get us out of the Championship. Allardyce may well be that person but I don't think I could stand watching his brand of football. It would depress me no end. I guess anyone but Warnock will do though.

Anyone who will get us out of the Championship will do,regardless of whether they play the West Ham way or not. This is not about playing attractive football for the next 12 months. It is about not conceding goals, being tough to beat ,and getting out of the cesspool that is the Championship. If that requires Allardyce, then so be it.

Its easy to knock Allardyce but maybe he'd like to prove that he can play good football. Lets be honest here can anyone remeber the last time good football was in the West Ham menu
