West Ham End of Season Gala Kicks Off

You couldn't make it up.

West Ham hold their End of Season Gala the day after the team get relegated. So who would have thought that if you threw a bunch of disgruntled fans together with a team of over-paid and under-performing players then all hell would break lose.

Sky Sports News are reporting that police have been called to tonight's Gala at The Grovesnor Hotel after fans brawled with security guards. The trouble is said to have started after Demba Ba refused to sign autographs claiming that he was too tired.

Obviously the club, when booking the venue, were unaware that West Ham would be relegated the day before the Gala was due to take place. However this fiasco just seems so typical of the West Ham of the last few years.

The club motto should be "If it can go wrong, it will go wrong."

Further evidence that not only a total clearout is needed, but a real change in attitude at every level of the club. It is unacceptable that week in and week out this club is in the media spotlight for all of the wrong reasons, due to the idiocy of players or other employees of the club. The supporters don't deserve this and it makes a mockery of the club's history and traditions.

The club has a fanatastic academy and a very loyal set of supporters-key ingredients for turning things around. Now what it needs is a proper manager, and young, hungry players who are not spoiled and who have something to prove,

They were wearing the club colours and basically spat on the badge last night. We're a laughing stock at the moments and this really puts things right doesn't it.

Sir Bobby is spinning in his grave this morning. Sick making to be honest
