Mackail-Smith Set for Leicester?

Peterborough United have accepted a bid for Mackail-Smith from Leicester. They have turned down an offer from West Ham but are expecting the club to come back with a better offer.

"We have accepted a bid from Leicester," said Posh's director of football Barry Fry.

"Their manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is out of the country at the moment, but was due to speak to Craig over the weekend.

"I have had several conversations with West Ham, but we have turned down their bid. I am certain they will be back."

The Daily Mail say Stoke have made a £3 million bid for Carlton Cole. However the paper says that although West Ham are keen to get Cole's high wage bill off the book the club wants closer to £7 million. The Mail also claim that there are doubts that Cole would pass a medical.
