Da Costa Sold

West Ham have sold Manuel Da Costa to FC Lokomotiv Moscow for an undisclosed fee (although the Russian press are reporting 1.5 million Euro). The West Ham website said that Da Costa had one year left on his contract and had expressed a desire to leave the club.

Da Costa will once again be team-mates with Victor Obinna, who also signed for the Russian club this week.

Good sale- another underperformer and troublemaker who contributed heavily to our relegation.

May the extermination of the filth continue

Rubbish 5.21. He was at time our best and mpst commutted defender last season.Selling him makes NO obvious sense.

9:16, he only had a year left and was not keen to stay -- better to cash in while we can rather than have him not try for a year and then walk away for nothing.

totally agree with 9.16, da costa was our best defender at times and him and tomkins would have made a great cb pairing...also why did we not try and sign obinna on a free, the only player with any creativity or flair we had last season.

Can he leave the country with his court case outstanding? Is this the reason for the want away?
I know he can't speak English, is Russian one of his languages?

Committed defender my arse . Slow, beaten time in and time out . A total loser, as much trouble off the pitch as he was on it.

keeping him would have been stupid beyond belief

great center back pairing with tomkins? What will be a good pairing is Faye and Tomkins, not a little tantrum boy who can't keep it in his pants anywhere on the planet

obviously basing your opinions on motd clips..."slow, beaten time in and time out" - now if you were talking about upson i couldn't agree with you more...feel free to not like him cos of some, i mite add unproven, off the field behavior but don't talk shite about how he actually played on it.
