Ba and Hitz leave on Free Contracts

The Guardian report that Demba Ba has turned down a £50,000-a-week salary plus a bonus payment of £500,000 to stay at West Ham. They say he has now left the club and that Everton are favourites to sign him.

The Guardian say that Hitzlsperger has also left the club. The paper says that the midfielder was offered the captain's role at West Ham but he has also decided to exercise a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the club on a free transfer.

Pieces of shit. Like he's going to get much more luck at Everton. He might be earning Premier League wages but he's going to have to spend most of that every week buying a new car on account for it being stolen after almost every game. Hitz is German anyway, he's probably got a mass genocide to prepare, don't worry about it guys, they're not worth it.

This just sums up most footballers now. No loyalty or memory. Hitz should remember that he was out for a vast majority of last season and received a hefty wage for it. And Ba wouldnt have been in the premiership if it wasnt for West Ham taking that chance on his injury history. Money grabbing self centered morons. Lets hope the likes of young nouble can replace Ba and do us proud !!! I also cant believe that West Ham have allowed a clause like this in Ba's contract. God help us if that what their negotiation skills are like !!

In fairness, there have been conflicting reports on this. The story about Hitz being offered the captains job was reported weeks ago, before Allardyce came in. It was the owners who made that offer, I think.

Later reports suggest that Allardyce didn't want Hitz, he didn't figure in his plans, so he was allowed/persuaded to invoke the release clause.

Nolan would only be persuaded to come as captain and judging by Joey Barton's tweets today will do a good job too. Can't be worse than numpty Upson
