West Ham in Negotiations with 5 Players

The Shields Gazette say that Newcastle have turned down West Ham's £3 million offer for Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan. The Shields however report that Nolan may have to take a substantial pay cut if he wants to stay at Newcastle and that an offer of £4 million by West Ham may prove successful.

David Sullivan has confirmed that West Ham "are in negotiations for five players and could confirm at least one signing next week."
