West Ham Won't Get Nuno Gomes

Benfica have been quick to warn off West Ham and any other clubs interested in 29-year-old Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes. Alan Pardew is reported to be keen to buy the player but Benfica director Jose Veiga has hinted he is beyond the reach of West Ham,

"He is a key player for our project for the next campaign and only a spectacular offer would change our decision about this subject. It is normal that clubs want the striker but today he is not in the market."
