Hughes Says Neill Not Leaving - Yet

Despite it being widely reported that Lucas Neill is on the verge of signing for West Ham Mark Hughes reiterated yesterday evening that Neill will not be allowed to leave until Rovers find a replacement,

"We allowed Lucas to go down and speak to West Ham yesterday, and he had a medical while he was down there. As I have always said, I want to know we are not going to be weaker as a consequence of Lucas leaving, so exactly as we were.

We are not going to let Lucas join unless we get a replacement, and nothing as yet has been agreed."

Unfortunately for West Ham Andre Ooijer suffered a serious injury for Rovers yesterday which will presumably mean Hughes will be even more reluctant to see Neill leave.
