Benayoun Turns Down West Ham??

According to The Daily Mail Yossi Benayoun has turned down a new five year deal at West Ham.

This is confusing because a couple of weeks ago it was widely reported that he had signed a new five year deal. In fact the official West Ham website quoted Yossi as saying,

"I'm very pleased to have agreed this new deal. From the first moment I arrived at West Ham, the Club felt like home to me. We have the best supporters in England."

Hopefully this is just The Daily Mail getting it spectacularly wrong.

One player who has rejected West Ham is Joey Barton, who has signed for Newcastle.
