New Sponsors & New Gossip

West Ham today announced a new sponsorship deal with XL Leisure Group. The team will now play with the XL.com logo on their shirts. The new shirts will go on general sale on 16th June.

As well as having their logo on the club shirts an XL design will cover the entire roof of the east stand and will have branding on the LED pitch perimeter advertising system during matches.


The Daily Star say that West Ham are set to pip Chelsea to the signing of Fredrikstad striker Tarik Elyounoussi, 19. They say he is keener on West Ham despite having had a trial with Chelsea.

The Sun say that Scott Parker is the first piece in the jigsaw for West Ham. Curbishley will now concentrate on trying to sign Darren Bent, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nicky Shorey.
