Shorey and Gudjohnsen in January

The Independent and The Mail both claim West Ham have identified Nicky Shorey and Eidur Gudjohnson as their top two transfer targets.

There have been rumours floating around the West Ham forums for the last few days suggesting that Gudjohnsen was close to signing. Most of the rumours have suggested West Ham have agreed a fee with Barcelona however The Independent says West Ham will have to wait till January to sign both players. They say Reading and Barcelona have both told West Ham that they don't want to sell in this transfer window.
