the state of the pitch certainly didn t help, but we have to be good enough on the day to overcome things like that,or poor refereeing decisions etc. the pitch may have suited wigan better than us ,but at the end of the day,i m sure they weren t thrilled with it either ,but they came out on top. when we beat one of the big 4 ,we do tend to be a bit flat the next match,which is something curbishley needs to address. it s great beating liverpool, but if the target really is top 6, we simply can t be going home emptyhanded from fixtures like this,bad pitch or not.
