Why Does Lawro Hate West Ham?

With West Ham's excellent recent form, our amazing away record and Wigan's poor form you would have thought this game had away win written all over it.

Not if your Mark Lawrenson it doesn't. Lawro risks rectal bleeding through straining to praise West Ham who have been 'ticking along' and he reluctantly concedes Curbishley has 'done a decent job'. However he can't quite concede that West Ham might win a game of football and has obviously forgotten Wednesday's result already (coincidentally Liverpool who have not won any of their last five Premier League games are predicted to win 2-0).

Lawro predicts a 1-1 draw.

Sky Sports show a bit more awareness of West Ham's current form, "West Ham have only lost three league games in their last 15 and are quietly mounting their challenge on Europe."

Consequently Sky predict a 1-2 away win.

Setanta think West Ham are "consistent and (have) only lost three league games ... since October." However they seem unimpressed with West Ham's attacking options.

Setanta achieve a world first by agreeing with a Lawrenson prediction. They also think it will be a 1-1 draw.
